Who: Volunteers must be 12+ years old to participate, and all minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
What: Helping Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank distribute fresh fruit and vegetables, as well as other nutritious grocery items, to families and individuals in need [Produce to People (P2P) project].
Volunteers do a variety of things including: repacking bulk produce items to individual portions, handing items to clients, helping clients to their cars, and help leave the space clean.
This distribution is OUTDOORS! Please dress appropriately for the weather and in comfortable clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Closed-toed shoes are REQUIRED for your safety.
They distribute rain or shine and will only cancel in the event that the weather is dangerously cold, or their trucks are unable to get to the event.
